The qualification for Certificate III in Civil Construction Road Construction and Maintenance provides training for operators working in civil construction, including road construction, planning and carrying out civil construction tasks, and applying workplace health and safety.
This qualification provides training across 25 units of competency, including seven (7) core units, and 18 elective units. Participants may select elective units that are relevant to their workplace and job role.

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, however participants require the necessary language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete each specific unit of competency. SWQ Training will assess each participant upon enrolment to determine any support requirements.

The full cost of this qualification is $13,750.00. The cost of training and assessment will be discussed further during sign up.

Training Options:
Workplace Based: Training may be undertaken through workplace based training and assessment activities. It is recommended participants have a suitable work environment and appropriately qualified supervisors to undertake workplace based training. Training is normally completed in 1-3 years.
Recognition of Prior Learning: Experience participants may be able to undertake Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The RPL process usually takes between 3-6 months, and gap training may be included for some units of competency.

- School leavers entering the industry
- Existing workers who have not previously completed the full qualification
