Safe Work Near Exposed Live Parts

SWNELP includes the compliance with working safely up to the defined “safe approach distance” near energised electrical apparatus. This course is non-accredited.

Introduction:

Target Audience:

This non-accredited course is intended for electrical, non-electrical and construction workers that work or supervise work around and near electrical overhead wires.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Work functions that may be performed and/ or any other activity that requires working safely and compliance with the requirements and/ or establish procedures near live electrical apparatus.
  • Preparation of risk assessment control measures that encompass job safety assessment.

Learning Methods:

Delivery: Face-to-face theory training session. Onsite delivery available.

Program Benefits:

  • Successful participants will be issued a Statement of Attendance upon completion.
  • Completion of this course meets Ergon Energy requirements when applying to be approved as an “Authorised Person”, as per Queensland Legislation Requirements, for “Working Safely near Overhead & Underground Apparatus”.
